Alison Hunter Therapy
Counselling, Psychotherapy, Coaching in Glasgow Southside & Online

Welcome to Alison Hunter Therapy

I'm a UKCP, BACP and ICF registered integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and coach in Glasgow's Southside. My comfortable counselling room in the Southside is within easy reach of Glasgow city centre, Pollokshields, Newton Mearns, Giffnock and the West End of Glasgow. During the pandemic, I moved to online therapy and now adopt a blended approach combining face-to-face and online work.

You may be feeling anxious, depressed or having relationship issues. You may be experiencing difficult life events such as bereavement, divorce or redundancy. Or you may be confused about how you're feeling; you're tired of pretending everything is ok and want to feel better. You may have tried talking to friends or family and found it hasn't helped.

At times like these, seeing a counsellor or psychotherapist can help you unburden yourself in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space.

As an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor in Glasgow's Southside, my approach allows me to use therapeutic strategies and tools to meet your unique needs.

Research has shown it's the relationship with your counsellor that's crucial to feeling the benefit of therapy. I work to create an environment in which you can trust me to support you at your most vulnerable.

I have extensive experience of working with people with a wide variety of issues and from different cultures and backgrounds. I feel privileged to have accompanied them, through tears and laughter, as they discover more about themselves, others and their place in the world.

Testimonials

“I approached the counselling process with a certain level of trepidation and anxiety. However Alison was able to be supportive and reassuring, creating a safe environment. The sessions were undertaken at a pace I felt comfortable with and it was clear Alison was able to respond to my individual situation which was multifaceted. I found the process helpful and beneficial.I would be more than comfortable approaching Alison in the future should the need arise.” Anonymous, Glasgow
